Born Murray Twp. to Edward Lloyd (1820 – 1890) and his wife Carlina Arlina Parker (1825 – 1906), Emily married 9 Aug 1863 County Grey, Ontario, Canada Samuel Mullen, the son of Richard and Sarah (Robertson) Mullen. They immigrated to the Cincinnati / Covington area. Their children include: Elizabeth Mullen (1864 – 1931); Sarah Mullen (1864 – 1873); Richard Mullen (1869 – 1905); Emma Mullen (1870 – 1926); James Mullen (1872 – ); and Edward (1873-1873). Emily died in 2 Jul 1873 of Cholera within two months of the family's having moved from Cincinnati to West Covington. Barely a week later, on the tenth, both daughter Sarah and their infant son Edward died of the same outbreak (See Cholera in Cincinnati 1873 with map.
