Edward Lloyd
Edward Lloyd, 89, died yesterday at his home at Brush Prarie rt. 1. He had been in failing health for the past three years.
Born in Ontario, Canada, he came to the United states 26 years ago. He lived in Portland for 22 years and for the past four years in Clark county. Until his retirement in 1926 he had been employed in the engine shops of the S[pokane]. P[ortland]. and S[eattle]. railroad. He formerly worked with the railroads in Canada.
He is survived by three sons, Frank Lloyd, Portland, and Jim Lloyd and Andrew Zilke, Canada; eight daughters, Mrs. Susie Stromme and Mrs. Annie Barclay, Leavenworth; Miss Elizabeth Lloyd, Seattle; Mrs. Arlina Hellman and Mrs. Lydia Meyers, Brush Prarie; Mrs. Olga Jensen and Mrs. Martha Kristein, Portland; and Mrs. Tillie Pearce, Alberta, Canada; a brother, Albert Lloyd, Canada; 31 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at Knapp's chapel with Elder J. A. Rippey of the Seventh Day Adventist church, of which he was a member officiating. Interment will be in Park Hill cemetery.

James Hartley Lloyd [m. Louisa "Lou" Whitney], 4. Noble Richardson Lloyd [died WWI at Passendale] 5. Frank Lloyd 6. Elizabeth M. Lloyd [m. Bartlett]). EBS Lloyd married second 01 Dec 1903 in Calgary Juliana A. Von Follack [widow of Andreas Zuehlke/Zilke etc.] with whom he had 1. Daniel Lloyd (died about 4) 2. twins Arlina Lydia Lloyd [m. Albert William Hellman] and Lydia Arlina Lloyd [m. Henry R. Meyer]. Some of the other children mentioned in the obituary were Julia's from her first marriage (though many died of the flu, including Mr. Zuehlke). Mentioned above are: Martha Helena Zuehlke Lloyd [m. Otto Kirstein]; Andrew Zilke of Strathcona, Alberta, CAN.; Olga Zuehlke [m. Jensen]; and Otiele "Tilly" J Zuehlke [m. Albert E Pearce].
A family member informed me that Edward Bounter Smith had been the attending physician at our Edward's birth and he had been named in gratitude for his service. Section: A Lot/Wall: 349 Grave: 2
