Sarah was born the daughter of Samuel Mullen (1842 – 1914) and his wife Emily Melissa Lloyd (1845 – 1873). Emily was from Meaford, Grey, Ontario. Sarah died of Cholera scarcely a week after her mother had died of the same. I have been unable to locate obituaries nor are they listed in the Cincinnati papers among the cholera deaths, but both burial cards attest to their having died of Cholera.
