Mr. Aron Hazelwood, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hazelwood was born on April 1, 1899, in Sharkey County, MS.
He confessed Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Avery Baptist Church.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Pattie (Pearson) Hazelwood to this union, ten children were born. One preceded him in death, Mrs. Odean (Hazelwood) Childs.
They moved to Sky Lake, where he united the Beauty Chapel M. B. Church. In 1946, he moved to Goat Hill and united with the Beautiful Zion M. B. Church, where he served as a deacon until he became ill in 1985. He then moved to Milwaukee, WI; and joined the Friendship Baptist Church under watch care where he was a member until passing this life on Saturday, June 9, 1990, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Mr. Aron Hazelwood leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Mrs. Pattie Hazelwood; six daughters, Mrs. Theresa Wigley, Mrs. Frankie Hall, Mrs. Janette Harris, Mrs. Verdia Bass, Ms. Quen Esta Hazelwood, Ms. Mable L. Hazelwood; 3 sons, Mr. Willie Hazelwood, Mr. Aron Hazelwood, Jr., Mr. Joseph Hazelwood, one adopted son, Mr. Ira Gates. Four sons-in-law, Dave Childs, Willie Harris, Nate Hall, and Robert Bass. Fifty-two grandchildren, seventy-four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Maggie Peoples of Starkville, MS; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Minnie Hazelwood, Mrs. Lucille Pearson; a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
