Daniel Stauffer - Farmer, Milan Township, Allen County

Born: Ashland County, Ohio Sept. 7, 1852

Moved to Milan Township in 1878

Daniel Stauffer, aged 65 years and nine months, a resident of Allen County for the past forty years, died Thursday evening at 7:45 o'clock, at his home in Milan Township.
Mr Stauffer was born at Ashland, Ohio, September 7, 1852 and moved to Milan township, Allen county, forty years ago. He was married to Adaline Thimlar, to which union five children were born. Surviving besides the widow, are three sons, Charles and William of Milan township; Sam of Chicago; and one daughter, Mrs Fred Salzbrunner {should read Sollberger}, of Maumee township, and eight grandchildren. One son, Walter, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock from the home. Burial will take place in Bowers' cemetery.
