In His 77th Year
William Henry Stauffer[Stofer] was born in Mifflin, Ashland county, August 4, 1840 and died at Jeromeville July 21, 1917 aged 76 years, 11 months and 17 days.
He was married to Nancy Brubaker and to this union four children were born of whom three survive. William Lutz, Jeromeville, at whose home he died: Mrs. Charles Moore of North Mifflin, and Benjamin Stauffer of Marion. One son Harry died nineteen years ago. Other relatives are eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three brothers, Solomon, Daniel and David of Allen county, Ind.; who remain to mourn the loss of a dear father, grandfather and brother.
A short service was held at the home of Mrs. Lutz Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. C. F. King and the service proper were held at Chestnut grove where interment was made.
