Charles Harrison was born on March 3, 1869 in Rome, NY, the 6th of twelve children of Paul B & Mary Ann [Bellman] Bernhard. He moved to Cleveland with his parents in Sept. 1879 when he was 11. He had eight brothers & two sisters.
Charles was 31 when he married Carrie Charlton Alexander on Aug. 23, 1900 in Cleveland.
They were married by Rev. R. H. Edwards and never had any children, although Carrie had a son Charlton Alexander from her first marriage who was 8 when they married.
They had been married 17 years when Carrie died Jan. 4, 1917 when she was only 47 and is buried at Lake View Cemetery in Sec. 25, Lot 996A.
Sometime after 1920 he married Margaret May Santee who is listed in his obit.
He died at the age of 54 on May 11, 1923 at St. Luke's Hospital from a cerebral hemorrhage. Charles is buried at Lake View Cemetery in Sec. 21, Lot 293A.
