Services for Bernice Schmitt Rummells, 83, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home, Muscatine. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. today.

Mrs. Rummells died Tuesday at home. Bernice Dollman married Lyle Schmitt in 1932 in Muscatine. He died in 1977. She married Vernon Rummells in 1984 in Nashua, Iowa. He died in 1990. Mrs. Rummells was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Missionary Ladies at the church. She loved to cook, sew, do crafts and to decorate her home for the different seasons.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Fisher (Mrs. Walter Hoag), Muscatine; a stepdaughter, Barbara (Mrs. Charlie) Terrill, Muscatine; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; seven step-grandsons; many step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy (Mrs. Vearl) Connor, Muscatine.
