Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Rev. Nancy Schultz of the Sweetland United Methodist Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Rusty Wingerter, Jeff Wingerter, John Wingerter, Jody Connor, Mike Connor, Todd Holliday, Dustin Holliday, and Tom Wilson. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Dorothy Connor Memorial Fund.
Mrs. Connor was born on March 26, 1914, in Muscatine, the daughter of Harry and Anna Tobias Dollman. She married Vearl E. Connor on Sept. 14, 1935, in Muscatine.
She was a member of the Sweetland United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Muscatine County Farm Bureau.
She loved her family, and enjoyed crocheting baby caps for Unity Hospital and going to the Casino Boats. She also loved her pet canaries and loved traveling.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Wingerter and her husband, John, Judy Holliday and her husband, Robert, and Lu Ann Wilson, and her husband, Roger; two sons, Kenny Connor and his wife, Judi, and DeWayne Connor and his wife, Barb, all of Muscatine; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vearl, on March 28, 1999, two sisters, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
