Virginia Sullivan, age 94, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, in the Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. She was born in Montana on March 17, 1915, to the late Charles Hash and Christie Halsey Hash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Lee Sullivan; two sisters, Logene Shupe and Susie Huggin; two great-grandsons, Tony Hubble and Braydon Coalson; and a great-great-grandson, Mason Lacks. She was a member of Chilhowie Baptist Church.
Survivors Include: two daughters, Janet Pafford Osborne and husband John, Chilhowie, Eva Eastridge and husband Bill, Chilhowie; three brothers, Kelly Hash, Galax, Va., Alex Hash, South Carolina, Dale Hash, Galax; four sisters, Ruth Phipps, Oak Hill, Va., Charlotte Ashley, Grassy Creek, N.C., June Miller, Bluefield, W.Va., Kathleen Arrington, Vinton, Va.; her grandchildren, Rebecca Hubble and husband Charlie, Sherry Saunders and husband Bill, Joy Wolfe and husband Garland, Eric Pafford and wife Vickie, Kent Pafford, Daniel Coalson; her great-grandchildren, Micah Skeen, Shannon Hubble, Anouri Lacks, Cody Pafford, Adam Wolfe, Ashley and Ryan Pafford and Cheyenne Coalson; one great-great- granddaughter, Kaydence Skeen; many other loving family members and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the Chilhowie Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Herrell and Rev. John Osborne officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Bradley's Funeral Chapel of Chilhowie is serving the family of Mrs. Sullivan.
