She was born in Fox, VA to the late Charles G. and Christie Halsey Hash. Mrs. Huggin retired as an Executive Secretary at Ft. McPherson and was a charter member of the International Training Communication, Ft. McPherson Chapter. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church where she was active in her Sunday School class and had once served as the secretary for the Prayer Room.
Mrs. Huggin is survived by sons, Charles Bennett (Ben) and Karen Huggin, III, Jefferson, GA Kenneth Lee (Ken) and Lucinda Huggin, Hampton, GA; grandchildren, Olivia Huggin and Nathan Huggin; siblings, Ruth H. Phipps, Mouth of Wilson, VA, Virginia Sullivan, Chilhowie, VA, Charlotte H. Ashley, Grassy Creek, NC, June H. Miller, Bluefield, WV, Kathleen Arrington, Vinton, VA, Kelly G. Hash, Galax, VA, Alex Hash, Clemson, SC, Joseph D. Hash, Galax, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Thurs, Jul 16, 2009 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Swafford officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Oak Methodist Church Cemetery in Hogansville, GA at 3PM. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
