Christopher H. 'Christ' Stephens was born on April 8, 1861 in Hollidaysburg, Penns. His father Adam Stephan Stephens b1813 was 47 and his mother Caroline Potter Stephens was 39. His father suffered a stroke in 1869 so Christ found himself living with his Aunt Amanda Eligh (his grandfathers youngest daughter) in Carroll Twp in 1870.(I could not locate him on the 1880 Census) He married Annie C. Rheppard in June 1881 in his hometown of Hollidaysburg, Penns. They had 10 children in the 22 years between 1882 and 1904. His 0ccupation was as a Railroad Engineer /Conductor so he no doubt spent a lot of time away from home on the Railroad. He passed on June 22, 1913 in Nettleton, Penns at the age of 52. He was laid to rest in Lloyds Cemetery next to his mother. 0n her 0bit in 1906 he was listed as the one who found her after she passed away in her sleep. A memorial stone was erected in memory of his wife Annie, even though she is buried in another cemetery, having died some 20 years later.
