THE DEATH OF DR ORLANDO BUSH
Word from Sheldon, Illinois, announces the death there at 7 o’clock this morning of Dr Orlando Bush a former well-known resident and one of the earliest settlers of Tippecanoe county. The deceased had been ailing for a number of years with stomach troubles, which he attributed to indigestion, but later it seemed a more serious form and six weeks ago he was compelled to take his bed, growing gradually weaker and during the last few days it was to be seen that the end was near. Dr Bush was in his sixtieth year and was born and raised in Dayton, this county, where his parents resided and where he spent the greatest years of his life. He was educated at the St Louis Medical College and after completing his course there returned to Dayton and opened a office, acquiring at once an excellent practice. The exacting demands of a physicians life became irksome to him, however, and after practicing about twelve or fifteen years, he decided to abandon the profession, and in company with William F Reynolds and the late Samuel Favorite, purchased a large tract of land in Iroquois County, Illinois, and removed to Sheldon in 1869.
