Contributor #46635520 suggested it is Luther Bush, son of William Bush. Still researching for documentation. Ty
There was a John Bush living in Peru alone, working as an attorney, born in Massachusetts abt 1805. He was the son of Squire William Bush (#6937956) and Elizabeth Stevens. John had three brothers who passed away in 1847 in Indiana. One, Luther who passed away in Peru in 1847 and was born in Connorsville, Fayette County, Indiana in 1818. There is no confirmation this is a relative. William Bush's Indiana last Will and probate records most of his estate go to his son Dr. Orlando and heirs of Luther dated 1853. It is unclear if Luther is William's wife, Elizabeth (Stevens), but most likely. Family records William and Eliza's other son Jared Bush also passed away in Peru in December of 1847 but he has a memorial at Dayton, IN. William Stevens Bush also passed away in Sept of 1847 in Indiana.
Luther appeared on the roster for Captain John M. Wilson's company in the Mexican War in 1846, as listed in the Miami County Indiana Military History.
