Mrs. Arwin Semph, 49, nee Vera Jaschob, passed away at the St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan early Saturday morning following a lingering illness. She was born in Kiel on Jan. 1, 1900, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jaschob. She was confirmed by the Rev. W. Rech at Kiel in 1914 and in 1917 she was married to Arwin Semph. The couple operated a farm near Ada before moving to Franklin about two years ago.
The survivors include her husband; three sons, Leroy and Ralph of Ada, and Kenneth of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Doris) Blackburn of Savannah, Ga., and Carolyn; her father, Herman Jaschob, of Kiel; three sisters, Mrs. Emil Fischer of Sheboygan, Mrs. Calvin Arpke of Franklin and Mrs. Martin Mahloch of near Kiel; three brothers, Edward of Ada, William of Kiel and Alvin of Sheboygan and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1916 and a brother, Edgar in 1932.
Funeral services will be held at the St. John Evangelical and Reformed church at Schwartzwald, where she was a member. The Rev. William Schultz will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
