Herman Jaschob, 91, died Saturday evening at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Arpke, Franklin. He had been ill for more than a year.
He was born Sept. 30, 1862, in Germany, and came to America at the age of 21. He married Miss Mary Pasch and together they operated a farm in the town of Rhine.
In 1917 he moved to Kiel and for the past 11 years he lived with his daughter and son-in-law. Jaschob was the son of the late Ernst and Caroline Birr Jaschob.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Emil (Emma) Fischer, Sheboygan; Mrs. Calvin (Lorena) Arpke, Franklin; Mrs. Martin (Anita) Mahloch, Kiel; three sons, Eddie of Millhome; William of Kiel; and Alvin of Sheboygan; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1916, a son Edgar in 1932, and a daughter, Mrs. Arwin Semph, in 1949.
