KINGMAN, Mary 11 - The many friends of Mrs. Mary E. Bowley, 78, were shocked to learn of her sudden death, which occurred at her home Sunday noon. She was a woman of sterling character, a good friend and neighbor, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Union League Grange and the Congregational church of Springfield. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Knights and Mrs. Gene Jordan of Mattawamkeag; a son, Chester, of Hartford Conn.; a step-son, Ralph, of Milford, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. William Ogden of Macwahoc and Abbie J. Ogden of St. John, N. B., and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Kingman Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Kingman cemetery.
