Floyd Burton Johnson was born 2 Sept 1935 in Guthrie, Logan Okla. the 8th child of 10 to Burton E. & Ruby Loretta Cherry Johnson.
Burton was raised on the Johnson homestead then in 1939 he lost his Mother in a car wreck. The Johnsons sold the Guthrie homestead and moved to California in 1944. Then on 11 June 1951 the Johnson family lost their brother Frank C. in a commercial work truck accident. The family grieved for their loved ones..
Floyd enjoyed spending his time with his family, going to church and riding his bike around Lamont. He was particularly close to his brother Harvey, his sister Bessie, and Harvey's sons, Steve,, Gary,, Gerald and David. Floyd married Birdy Weasel Handcock July 1988 in Nevada, they had no children.
He gave his heart to the Lord and carried his Bible almost everywhere he went. His nephew Steve Johnson was with him throughout his death. The day Floyd passed he said that he wanted to go home to Heaven and be with his Mother and his Brothers, that he missed so much. Floyd passed away in Delano hospital and is buried in Arvin Cemetery Vineland Rd., next to his father and two brothers Harvey & Roy
