He inherited the little Stone Green House in England from his Aunt Mary then sold it and moved to Canada in 1884. Emigrated to Canada in 1885 at the age of 65 settled in near Hamilton Ontario with his wife and children his youngest child was born in Ontario Canada. His sons headed out West to Saskatchewan to check out "free land" so then in 1903 at the age of 80 went out west once his sons found land in Penzance, Saskatchewan. His grave in Penzance, Sk has Sr on it, but they put that as his father William was buried in England.
