Please do not put up pictures of the deceased. I do not put them on my memorials why do you? I try very hard to adhere to the rules and regulations of Canada. That includes copyrighted material. Even if on the net and posted by funeral homes, newspapers it is copyrighted.
When obits are used in the bio section there it is possible some one can read it and steal someone's identity. As happened in Saskatchewan Canada a few times.
I do not do obits as I wrote years ago to different Canadian governments, Sask., government agencies, also to newspapers and funeral homes. It is against the law to use obits as they are copyrighted, the same with pictures. You have to get permission from a family member to use them. Canada has different privacy laws than the States does.

PLEASE RESPECT THE DECEASED AND THEIR FAMILIES BY NOT POSTING DEATH CERTIFICATES, OBITUARIES, OTHER NEWSPAPER DOCUMENTS OR GRAPHIC INFO ON A MEMORIAL PICTURE. All bio info belongs in the BIO section, not the photo section. Cause of death is a very private, personal, medical record and should be for families to decide if they want to share. Thank you.
A lot of Find a Grave members are putting them up obits as pictures, which they are not. And I have had some family members complain to me about them.
