FUNERAL OF MRS. AHLSTROM ARRANGED FOR SATURDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Stewart Ahlstrom, wife of Ole Ahlstrom, who died Tuesday at 7 p.m. at her home in East Sandy, following a lingering illness will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at Sandy First ward chapel with Bishop William H. Bartlett officiating. The body may be viewed at the family residence from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will take place at Sandy City cemetery under direction of the Deseret Mortuary.

Mrs. Ahlstrom, a daughter of Joseph A. and Elizabeth Ewell Stewart, was born May 31, 1870 at Santaquin, Utah. She was married to Ole Ahlstrom January 23, 1895 at Tropic. The couple made their home at Tropic until 22 years ago when they moved to Sandy.

Mrs. Ahlstrom was an active member of the L.D.S. church [The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints] until her illness of which she has suffered the most of the past 20 years. She had been bedfast the past 16 months.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Ahlstrom is survived by the following sons and daughters: Ray Ahlstrom and Mrs. Mary Winn of Salt Lake City; Bland Ahlstrom of Sandy; Mrs. Velma Lansinghe of New York; Melba and Vic Ahlstrom and Mrs. Maurene Umland of San Francisco, Calif. She also has a total of 23 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Mr. & Mrs. Ahlstrom would have observed their 52nd wedding anniversary on Jan. 23.
