Maurine Ahlstrom Umland June 24, 1911 - July 1, 2007, Resident of Pleasanton.
Born in Tropic, Utah and a longtime resident of San Francisco, and most recently of Pleasanton, CA. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Jack Umland; and her daughter, Leslie Umland. Survived by her daughters, Betty Dooley (Clark), Jackie Boggs (Dan), Janet Klaessig (Fred), and Carol Umland-Blei (Hank). Maurine is also survived by her six grandchildren, Jeff and Sean Dooley, Ray and Anna Rosenfelder, and John and Alex Klaessig; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Maurine was the bookkeeper for her husband's business in addition to being a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, making rugs, playing cards, dancing, music and following the Giants. Her greatest love was her family and she demonstrated this through her generous spirit. She received great joy and strength from her faith that helped her through the challenges of her later years.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at the Pleasanton First Ward of the Church of the Latter-day Saints at 6101 Valley Avenue, Pleasanton at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, Maurine requested donations to be made the Humanitarian Services fund at the Pleasanton First Ward or the Arthritis Foundation, attn. Memorial, 657 Mission St., Ste 603, San Francisco, CA 94105.
