Mrs. Ralph J. Kuiper, nee Hattie Langstraat, passed away at the Pella Community Hospital on December 28th, 1966 where she had been hospitalized since suffering a stroke.

Hattie was born on September 15th, 1907 in Mahaska County, Iowa to Leender and Wilhelmina (De Heus) Langstraat. She spent her lifetime in the Pella area and was 59 years, 3 months and 13 days of age at the time of her death. She was a kind and loving Mother and will be greatly missed by her family.

On February 15, 1928, she was united in marriage to Ralph J. Kuiper and together they farmed near Pella. She was a member of the Open Bible Church of Pella. She was saved under the ministry of Rev. Tom Hill in revival meetings November 2nd, 1923 under the Methodist Church which is now the Berean Baptist Church of Pella.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were held from the Open Bible Church of Pella on Saturday, December 31st, 1966 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. David M. Sutton officiating. There were family prayer services held in the church basement at 1:15 p.m.

Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery of Pella. The Rev. Leo DePrenger officiated at the cemetery committal services.
