Anna Johanna Nunnikhoven, daughter of Leendert and Agnes Lucas Langstraat, was born near Pella on April 9, 1893. She lived in the Pella area all of her life.
She was united in marriage with John F. Nunnikhoven on January 29, 1913. To this union a daughter, Henrietta Johanna, was born. Anna was a homemaker, not only for her husband and daughter, but for many others through the years. Anna had been cared for at the Pleasant Park Manor in Oskaloosa since September 4, 1979. She was a member of the Third Reformed Church of Pella.
Anna is survived by four brothers: Cornelius Langstraat of Eddyville, John Langstraat of Knoxville, Leonard Langstraat of Bussey, Paul Langstraat of Knoxville; two sisters: Minnie (Mrs. Pete) Van Ham of Pella, Pauline (Mrs. John) De Jong of South Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her mother in 1902; father in 1952; step-mother in 1957; husband John, on March 21, 1943; daughter, Henrietta, December 11, 1984; two sons-in-law: Henry W. Klein, November 12, 1970 and Andrew Van Hulzen, April 5, 1983; five brothers: Pete, Henry, Herman, Dick and Jake Langstraat; four sisters: Hattie (Mrs. Ralph J.) Kuiper, Sara (Mrs. Grover) Cotton, Ellie (Mrs. P.K.) De Jong, Irene (Mrs. Peter) Pol and five brothers and sister who died in infancy.
