MRS. CALVIN TRONE DIES AT NEIMANS OF COMPLICATIONS

Neiman, March 18 – After a lingering illness of eight months from a complication of diseases, Mrs. Jane Caslow Trone, wife of Calvin Trone, died at 4:35 a.m. today at her home, near here. Although she had been ill for a long period of time, she had been confined to bed only since Monday. She was 42 years and 12 days old.
Mrs. Trone is survived by her husband; a son, Fred Trone, Huntingdon, Pa.; an adopted daughter, Mazie Kaltreider, at home; her father, Jacob Caslow, Brodbeck; four brothers, John, Lewis and Jacob Caslow, Brodbeck, and Samuel Caslow, York, and three sisters, Mrs. William C. Miller, Brodbeck; Mrs. Adam Glatfelter, this place, and Mrs. W. J. Manchey, Red Lion.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at her late residence. Interment will be made in the Jefferson cemetery, after which services will be held in the Jefferson Reformed church by the pastor, Rev. Paul D. Yoder. Funeral Director C. O. Goodling, Seven Valleys, is in charge of the funeral.
_______________

Jane Caslow Trone, wife of Calvin Trone, and daughter of Jacob T. Caslow and Adaline Krebs Caslow (deceased), was born March 6, 1885, and died of a complication of diseases, March 18, 1927, aged 42 years and 12 days. Although Mrs. Trone had been in ill health for sometime her death came so suddenly that it was a shock to this whole community. Her many friends lament her passing. Of a happy and genial disposition she was well known and beloved in the Stone church community where she was born and grew to womanhood; at Shaffer's, where she lived most of her married life, and where she was a faithful attendant of both church and Sunday school; and at Jefferson from which place her husband came and where she held her church membership. The three communities combined to pay their last respects and mourn her loss.
Mrs. Trone had made all arrangements for her own funeral and all her wishes were faithfully carried out. The funeral services were held from her late home, near Shaffer's church, on Sunday morning, March 20, 1927, with brief services at the house. Thence to the Jefferson cemetery where burial was made. A large concourse of people had gathered there. It was estimated that upwards of 300 automobiles were parked along the state road and that between 1500 and 2000 people attended the burial services. The final service was held in the Jefferson Reformed Church. The building was far too small to admit all who desired to attend the service. The church was filled to its utmost capacity and her pastor preached from the text which she had selected herself, Rom. 13:12.
From our point of view Mrs. Trone's passing was untimely. She had just come to the noonday of life. But He who ruleth all things is wiser than we. We commend her sorrowing husband and son, her aged father, brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, to the Father of all love and goodness for comfort and consolation, and that in His own good time He may reunite this family in eternal joy and bliss in the realms beyond.
