Bertha W. Poe, 87, of Decatur died 11:32 a.m. Monday (March 13, 1995) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Poe was born Oct. 19, 1907, in Nancy, Ky., daughter of William Robert and Burnetta Meece Brumett. Mrs. Poe was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She married Roy A. Poe in 1928. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Surviving are her sons, Richard E. Poe and wife Donna, Rex V. Poe and wife Carolyn, Larry D. Poe and wife Janet, all of Decatur; daughters, Mrs. Sam (Wilma Jean) Verrill of Decatur; Mrs. John (Vera) Eschbaugh of Chesterland, Ohio; sister, Bessie Childers of Decatur; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, two brothers, five sisters and one granddaughter.
