William Brumett, 82, of Warrrensburg, died Monday Feb. 5, in Decatur and Macon County Hospital where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. Mr. Brumett fell and broke his leg two weeks ago and complications developed.
He was born in Tennessee, Feb. 6, 1868, and was married to Burnetta Neece in Kentucky in 1888. Mrs. Brumett died in 1948.
Mr. Brumett leaves two sons, William of Herrick and O'Dale of Warrensburg; seven daughters, Mrs. Essel Collins of Herrick, Mrs. George Binkley, Mrs. John Eller, Mrs. Roy Poe and Mrs. Elmer Childers, all of Decatur; Mrs. Clarence Binkley of Warrensburg, Mrs. Charles Streich of Alton.
He also leaves two brothers, Thomas of Herrick and Marshall of Oklahoma and a sister, Mrs. J. Neece of Decatur.
William is the son of Knate Marion Norris and Delilah J. Brummett, (They were never married). He married Burnetta Frances Neece on August 4, 1888, in Pulaski County, KY.
