Mrs. Ora V. Haas, wife of John Fremont Haas of 13871 Union Ave., N.E., Alliance R.D. 4, and a charter member of Lexington Grange died at 12:30 p.m. yesterday in the City Hospital. She had been confined to the hospital for three days.
A native of Alliance, Mrs. Haas always lived here and was a daughter of the late William and Alice Caves Battershell. She was a member of the Lexington Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service of the church and the Union Grove Farm Women's Club.
She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Jean Sandrus and Mrs. Dorothy Domino of Alliance; Mrs. Winnifred Waltenbaugh of Ravenna and Mrs. Eleanor Briggs of Lantana, Fla.; four brothers, Charles, Philip and Roy Battershell of Alliance, and Carr Battershell of Cuyahoga Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Emery of Alliance and Mrs. Opal McGirr of Chicago, Ill. and eight grandchildren.
