Rites held here for former resident, Mrs. M. J. O'Toole
Mrs. M. J. O'Toole, 77, of Mankato and almost a life-time resident of Janesville passed away at the St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul Thursday, Oct. 27 following a five weeks illness. The cause of her demise was cancer.
Catherine Hayden, the daughter of Edward and mary Hayden was born in Janesville on December 15, 1882.
She was united in marriage to Martin O'Toole in 1905 at Janesville. Her husband preceded her in death last January 10.
She lived in this community all of her lifetime except the past few years when she made her home in Mankato.
She was a member of the local St. Ann's Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons, Highway Patrol Sergeant Chester M. O'Toole of Mankato, Thomas O'Toole of Albert Lea and George O'Toole of Mankato; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Catherine) Adler of St. Paul, Mrs. Donald (Margaret) DuBeau of Naperville, Ill., and Mrs. Len (Erin) Schlah of LaCrosse, Wis., and two sisters Mrs. L. H. Kahnke of Janesville and Mrs. Agnes Sheeran of Waseca. One daughter Lucille preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Janesville. The rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the Arnoldt Funeral Home. Interment was in the Janesville Catholic cemetery.
Pallbearers were Arthur Murphy, Bert Jewison, Hoe Kahnke, Francis Jewison and Frank Sheeran and George McCollum.
