MRS. AGNES SHEERAN
Mrs. Agnes Julia (Hayden) Sheeran, 90, Waseca, died Saturday evening, January 14, at the Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home.
Agnes was born October 8, 1887 in Alton Township, Waseca County, daughter of Edward and Mary (Lawless) Hayden.
She graduated from the Janesville High School. She taught schools in Blooming Grove and Alton Township.
She married John Michael Sheeran, on November 17, 1901, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Janesville.
She was a member of the VFW Sweet-Sommers Post 1647 Auxiliary in Waseca and for many years a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and present member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Anastasia, Mrs. Simon (Mary) Connelly, and Mrs. Martin (Katherine) O'Toole; and one brother, Edward S. Hayden.
Surviving members of her family include five sons, Francis and his wife, Elaine, of Janesville; Donald and his wife, Jean, of State College, Pennsylvania; Robert and his wife, Betty, of Mercer Island, Washington; Norbert of California; and John and his wife, Linda, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 27 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Theresa Kahnke of Janesville Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 18, at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waseca, with the Rev. Gerald Kosse officiating. Burial will be at St. Ann's cemetery in Janesville.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Sheeran, Thomas Sheeran, Paul Sheeran, Robert Breck, Joseph Ross and Rudy Gomez.
Sandberg Funeral Home, Waseca, is in charge of arrangements.
