Funeral services were held Thursday, September 9 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Janesville, with Father E. W. Kellen oifficiating. Interment was at St. Ann's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lawrence Kahnke, Alvin Kahnke, George O'Toole, Thomas O'Toole, Francis Sheeran and Paul Sheeran.
Teresa Kahnke was born February 9, 1890 in Alton Township, Waseca County to Edward and Mary (Lawless) Hayden. She graduated from Janesville High School and St. Mary's School of Nursing, Rochester. She married Dr. Lawrence A. Kahnke of Janesville in June of 1917 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Janesville.
Mrs. Kahnke is survived by two children, Joseph Kahnke of St. Paul and M. Jeanne Kahnke of Green Valley, Arizona; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 12, 1956; one son, Lawrence; one brother and four sisters.
