Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Charlesy B. Russell, 81, of 1324 E. Hoagland St., who died Friday at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.
M.C. McDonald of World Bibleway Fellowship will officiate. Special music will include "Farther Along," "Amazing Grace," and "In the Garden," rendered by organist Eunice Dickey and soloist Stewart Koontz.
Burial will be at Memory Lawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Russell was born on May 28, 1906, in McKinney, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Russell, both now deceased.
He was married July 1, 1935, in Estancia, to Lillian Hawthorne, who survives him.
A Roswell resident since 1945, he worked for the Sanitation Department for 25 years.
Survivors include one sone, J.B. Russell of Texico; one daughter, Novie Stearman of Roswell; two sisters, Lessie Wright of Belen and Mert Turner of Wilcox, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
