US Congressman. Elected to represent Michigan's 2nd District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1853 to 1855. He was defeated as Democratic in 1854, and 1864. Also served as a Member of the Michigan State House of Representatives from 1847 to 1848, Probate Judge, and Mayor of Monroe, Michigan, in 1852.
