Death Came Sunday
In Denver Following
Several Years Of
Failing Health.

Death came to William Mulder in Denver on Saturday, following several years of failing health. Funeral service was conducted from the Methodist church in Yuma, Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. Kenneth Moore officiated and burial was made in the Yuma cemetery. The Ritchey Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

The following was prepared by the family and read at the service.

William Mulder was born in Friesland, Netherlands on April 3, 1867. He passed away at Porter Sanitarium in Denver, Colorado on January 13, 1950 at the age of 82 years, nine months, and twelve days.

At the age of 14 he came with his father, brothers, and sister to America. They settled in Sioux County, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. On July 30, 1890 he was united in marriage with Annie Poole. they made their home in Iowa and in Lincoln, Nebraska until 1907 when they moved to Yuma county, Colorado and resided on a farm northeast of Yuma until the death of his wife on January 3, 1910. To this union were born nine children, Mrs. Hattie Prather of Denver; Ernest of Compton, California; Steve of El Cajon, California; Mrs. Ann Tines of Denver; James of Lemon Grove, California; Mark of Yuma; Mrs. Rena Larson of Mt. Vernon, Washington; Mrs. Dorothy Marshall of Denver; and Mrs. Florence Mains of Lake Ray, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Ernest; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his sister.
