Abe Mulder passed away at his home December 2 after a lingering illness of 1 year.
He was born in The Netherlands, Dec. 6, 1868 and died at the age of almost 71 years.
He came to this country at at the age of 12 and lived at Carnes, Orange City, and Sheldon.
In 1893 he was married to Lucy Faber. To this union 10 children were born, 3 dying in infancy.
Surviving are his wife, 7 children and 7 grandchildren. The children are Rena, Mrs. William Raman of Omaha, Nebr., Ike of Marcus, Ia., Charles of Sheldon; Margaret, Mrs. Jack Fivash of Omaha; Geraldine, Mrs. Edgar Wiertzema of Creston, Ia, Fannie and Peter at home. One sister, Mrs. John Van Klompenburg of Orange City and 1 brother, Will Mulder of Yuma, Colo. also survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the First Reformed church with Rev. Mr. H. Colenbrander officiating.
