THE PARIS NEWS, 19 May 1918..
Mrs. Nannie J. McCuistion, an old resident of Lamar County, died at 6:20 o'clock yesterday evening at the Sanitarium of Paris, where she had been a patient the past three weeks.

She was in the 78th year of her age and was born in Tennessee, but had spent nearly all of her life in Lamar County. She was married twice, her first husband having been S.L. Moore, a member of one of the pioneer families of Lamar County. One son was born of this marriage, W.L. Moore, who died about ten years ago. Her first husband was killed in the Civil War, and a few years after his death she married to the late M.H. McCuistion who lived southeast of Paris, and who was one of the most prominent farmers of his section.

She is survived by the following sons and daughters, all of whom are children of the second marriage; Mrs. Samuel J. (Laura Albina) DeWeese of Reno, Dr. Watt Greer McCuistion of Paris, Mrs. James T. (Nannie Etta) DeWeese of Hugo, OK, George Deed McCuistion of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Ross Lawrence (Sara Octavia) Braden south of Paris, with whom she had been making her home since the latter's marriage; two step-daughters, Mrs. Cora Ellen Hutton of Medill and Mrs. Martha Leona 'Mattie' Holbrook of Dallas; 3 sisters, Mrs. James Monroe (Mary) Biard of Paris, Mrs. J.W. Biard of Sulphur, OK and Mrs. McDade of Denison.

Nannie joined the Christian Church when she was seven years old and was an active member almost up to the time of her last illness.

The funeral service will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at the home of Dr. Watt Greer McCuistion, 463 Lamar Ave., and the burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
