THE PARIS MORNING NEWS, Tuesday, May 11, 1920, p. 1: “Found In Room With Bullet In Forehead". At 4:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon members of the family of Dr. W. G. McCuistion living at 463 Lamar avenue were attracted by the report of a pistol shot in his room which he had enter to lie down for a little rest, as he explained on returning home, and when they entered to ascertain the cause he was found lying dead on his back with a bullet hole in his forehead. He had been ailing for several days and had been a patient at the Sanitarium a few days. He had returned home in the afternoon and was still not feeling well. He was the son of the late M. H. McCuistion, an old settler of Lamar county, and was born and reared southeast of Paris. He was fifty-one years of age and was a practicing physician, in which profession he had been successfully engaged ever since he was a young man. He practiced for several years at Reno, and then moved to the city. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Mrs. Henry Rheudasil of Sylvan; Mrs. Oliver McFadden of Hugo, Ok., and Elia, a twelve year old daughter living at home. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: G. D. McCuistion of Corpus Christ; Mrs. S. J. DeWeese of Reno, Mrs. Ross Brandon, living south of Paris and Mrs. Etta Deweese of Hugo.
