Morgan "Jiggs" Evans Jr., 86, of Fillmore, died on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore, with the Rev. Ernest Flowers officiating. Mr. Evans was born on July 31, 1924, in North Hurricane Township, the son of Morgan and Lydia "Lula" Louise Understall Evans. He married Bonnie Virginia Brown Keyes; she died on Dec. 15, 1997.
He is survived by sons, Jim Evans of Fillmore, Larry Keyes and his wife Sue of Brownstown, and the Rev. David Keyes and his wife Donna of Paducah, Ky.,; and daughters, Teresa Alexander of Fillmore, and Pat and her husband Ron Eller of Vandalia.
