Mickey Hays (June 30, 1972 – June 30, 1992[1]) was an American actor and sufferer of progeria, a rare genetic condition whose symptoms resemble accelerated aging. He starred in the 1986 Weird Western science fiction film The Aurora Encounter, where he portrayed an alien who visits Earth.[2] After the filming, Hays remained close friends with fellow cast member Jack Elam[2] and appeared in the 1987 documentary about congenital conditions I Am Not a Freak.[3] He died on his 20th birthday.[2]

My name was Keli Clark - now Keli Clark-Stowe. My memories of Mickey were in my elementary & intermediate classes. I had a special bond w him because I had a sister with disabilities as well...(My sister, Michael Clark/passed away 3 yrs ago) Most of us were aware of Mickey being different, but I remember us all being sensitive & including him in our recess activities. A specific memory of him was his sweet high-pitched voice in the classroom. He was super smart in math & gave the answers before most of us could raise our hands!
