She was a member of the Mobberly Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school over 15 years. Mrs. Wilkerson was active in Mobberly Women's Ministry, the Prison Ministry, and was a chaplain at Gregg County Jail. She was founder and director of W.O.W. house ministries for women in distress.
Mrs. Wilkerson was a humble and mighty servant of the Lord with a passion to lead people to a life changing, ever growing relationship with Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her son Mickey Hays; daughter, Christie Hays; brother, Rickey Callahan; and father, Algie Callahan.
