Wilma Arlene Parnell, 90, formerly of Antioch, died at 5:15 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, at Milner Community Healthcare in Rossville.
Born July 26, 1920, in Forest, she was the daughter of the late Alva Lawrence and Frances Cleo Blystone Louks.
She married Paul E. Parnell on Oct. 6, 1940. He died Jan. 12, 1998.
Mrs. Parnell was a beautician for many years and then a homemaker. She was a member of Rossville Presbyterian Church. She volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at Frankfort Hospital. She enjoyed reading, camping and spending time with her family.
Surviving are four children, Dennis Parnell (companion: Jan) and Glenda Jo McEwen, both of Lafayette, Michael Parnell (wife: Dayna) of California and Paula Wagner (husband: Rick) of Frankfort.
Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also preceding in death were 2 sons, Jeffrey "Mooch" and Jerry, and 5 sisters.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Bodine Funeral Home in Rossville. Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bodine Funeral Home in Rossville. Pastor John Everett officiating. Burial at Scotland Cemetery.
