John Bish Dies In Meadville
John A. Bish, 79, of Meadville, a former Clarion resident and a former oil and gas driller in the area, died at 6 a.m. in his home.
He was born June 3, 1894 in Clarion, a son of William and Ann Kunkle Bish, and was married in 1914 to the former Bertha M. Wilson. She died in 1969.

Mr. Bish was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Bradford.

He is survived by two sons, John Bish, Jr., of Meadville and William Bish of Niagara Falls, New York; six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Laura Best and a brother, Ted Bish, both of Knox.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday in the Gerald L. Goble Funeral Home in Clarion, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev. William Wilson, pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church in Bradford, will officiate. Interment will be in Clarion Cemetery.
