Mary Hilda Banks moved from Utah to Wyoming at a very young age, with her Mother and Father, Emma C. Wood and William James Banks. She married her childhood sweatheart Leon Dutton Asay at the age of 17. Their first child, a little girl, died a few months after her premature birth. They had 8 more children and were expecting their 10th child when Leon died in 1936. The baby died at birth. Her father helped her in providing for her family until his death in 1937. In 1939 she met and married Arlie A. Delano. She moved her family to the farm near Frannie. They were the parents of 3 daughters. Arlie made a home for this large family, and was a father to all of them. In 1972 her daughter, Maude Asay Burkhart was killed by a drunk driver. In 1973 her son, Norman Banks Asay died from complication after surgery. Arlie Delano died on March 11, 1977. On Christmas day, 1987, the Angels came and took our beloved mother home to be with her Eternal Family.
