On February 27, 1926, Emil Beyer then married Ethel Flossie Reeves, Emil Herman Beyer the son of Herman Edward Beyer and Martha Rosa (Reinholt) Beyer, in Livingston, Madison County, Illinois at the home of her parents. Three daughters were born to this union:
Arlene June Beyer
Gloria Lucille Beyer
and Imogene May Beyer
Ethel also helped to raise Emil Beyer's son, Melvin Emil Beyer, from his first marriage to Isobel (Anthony) Beyer who died of Dropsy in 1924.
The couple lived in Staunton, Illinois where Emil Beyer was a coal miner. Ethel passed away in Staunton, Illinois on September 29, 1988.
