Mary Drucilla Thompson married Robert Young Salsman on 11 Aug 1861 in Green County, Kentucky at her father's home (William C. Thompson).

Between 1862 - 1876 they had eight children.
Mary died 7 February 1878 and is buried here in the Bloyd family cemetery.

Robert Young Salsman married again to Dimmie V. Lewis about 1879. Dimmie died 19 April 1911 and is buried at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church cemetery in LaRue County, Kentucky.

On 31 May 1917, Robert Y. Salsman married for the 3rd time to Celia Skaggs Bell. Celia was a widow of James Jefferson Bell. Celia and her first husband are also buried in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church cemetery in LaRue County, Kentucky.
Robert Young Salsman died 20 April 1923 and is buried at Mt. Tabor Also.

In the 1870 Green County census, Robert Y. and Mary D. are family 147, living in the Allendale area of the county. He is a farmer, age 30, she is 24. The children are: Elizabeth A, 8; Ezekiel J., 6; William N., 4; Ruth C., 1 year old.
In the 1880 Green County Census, Mary has died. He is a farmer, age 40. The following children are listed in his household: Betsy, 18; Ezekial, 16; William, 14; Lucy, 12; Lydia, 9; Susan, 6; Eliza, 4 years of age.
