WRITTEN BY RUSSELL PERKINS, 11 AUGUST 2013:

I am her half Great-Grandnephew

In the 1870 LaRue County Census, Otter Creek District, Joseph Houston was family 146. He was 52 years old. His wife, Mary, was 49. They had the following in their household: Ellen, dau, 24; Elizabeth, Dau-in-law, 22; and Gson, Lewis, age 4; Gdau, Elizabeth, 1 year old.
From the above it appears Elizabeth is the daughter of Mary Ann Perkins that appeared age 2 in the 1850 census in the family of Richard Perkins

Her husband, John B. Houston had no less than 5 spouses in his lifetime, by 1870 he had married to Rebecca (Becca) Thompson. It is entirely possible and likely John and Elizabeth never formally married, but he gets credit for being the father of her son Lewis A. Houston.

I cannot confirm Elizabeth's father was Curley Bill Thompson. I have no documented evidence of that. Family tradition and all available documents indicates she was most likely his daughter.
