He was born Aug 19, 1904 in Newcastle tp., a son of James D & Keren Carpenter Allen. On June 9, 1934 he was married to Beulah Simmons who survives. Mr. Allen was a member of Warsaw Lodge 255 F&A.M., Coshocton Commanrdery No. 63, Farm Bureau, United Methodist Church of Newcastle, and the Walhonding Band.
Surviving besides the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Karen) Locke, Warsaw, Rt.3; two sons, James of Framingham, Mass., and Jerry with the U.S. Army at Fort Polk, La.;seven sisters, Mrs. Nettie Crosky, Wooster, Mrs. Hattie Croskey, Fairborn, Mrs. Mayme Murdock, Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs. Demas Crites, Marion Iowa, Mrs. Lovie Stringfellow, Mrs. Alice Davice and Mrs. Ruth Wright, all of Coshocton; and five grandchildren. One brother is deceased.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. The Rev. Robert Wells, and Rev. John Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Newcastle Cemetery.
