W. C. Leabo Dies in Iran

Walter C. Leabo, 48, son of Dr. and Mrs. Walter Leabo, 6925 Querbes Dr., died unexpectedly of a heart attack in Gach Saran, Iran.

A divisional manager of International Drilling Co., Mr. Leabo was a native of Shreveport and attended public schools here. He left here in 1938, moving to Opelousas. He had resided in Iran and Kuwait since 1957.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his widow; three sons, Jimmy H. and David, both of Iran, and Walter I. Leabo with the Marine Corps in California; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Marie Smith of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Beth Gentry of Dallas; a brother, Dykes Leabo, 846 Delaware; three sisters, Miss Carroll Leabo of Shreveport, Mrs. Lee Spinks of New Orleans and Mrs. Kenneth Goetzke of Lockburn Air Force Base, Ohio.

Plans for funeral services were incomplete Wednesday night.

Final Rites Monday for W. C. Leabo

A rosary will be said Monday night at 7:30 at Osborn's Chapel for Walter C. Leabo, 48, son of Dr. and Mrs. Walter Leabo, 6925 Querbes Dr., who died Wednesday in Gach Saran, Iran.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church with Father H. H. Couvillion officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Leabo, who was divisional manager of International Drilling Co., died unexpectedly of a heart attack. His body is scheduled to arrive at Osborn's sometime Monday morning.

Pallbearers will be Charles Russell, John Caplis, Jack Whited, Adrien Woolley, Robert Nicholson and Lee Spinks.
