Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at a 10 a.m. mass at St. Catherine's Catholic Church for Mrs. Sarah Anne Leabo, 78, of 6925 Querbes Drive, who died Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Highland Hospital after a long illness.
She was the wife of Dr. Walter Leabo.
A native of Boggy, Ark., and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Corry, Mrs. Leabo had also resided in Texarkana, Ark., and Colfax and Alexandria. She had been a Shreveport resident since February 1912.
She was a housewife.
Mrs. Leabo was a member of St. Catherine's and the local and state auxiliaries of the American Dental Association.
She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Lowe-McFarlane Post No. 14. She was also a member of the Past President Parley, Louisiana Department of American Legion Auxiliary, and of the Shreveport Chapter No. 237 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Survivors are besides her husband, one son, Dykes Leabo of Fort Worth, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth H. Goetzke of San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Lee N. Spinks of Houston, Tex., and Carroll Leabo of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Kathleen Corry Woolley of Shreveport, 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Frank Foret, pastor of St. Catherine's will officiate at the services. A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Walter Colquitt, Dr. Robert H. Corkern, Charles W. Russell, Henley Huner, Corry Woolley and Lee N. Spinks III.
