LAFAYETTE, LA – Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Osborn Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport for Obedience Carroll Clare Leabo, age 60, who died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997 at 9:15 p.m. in the Bethany M.H.S. Health Care Center.

The Rev. William Spencer, St. Catherine Catholic Church, will conduct the services.

Interment will be in the Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport.

Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lee N. Spinks of Lafayette; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Leabo of Shreveport and Catherine Leabo Brown of Natchitoches; one brother-in-law, Lt. Col. Kenneth Goetzke of San Antonio, TX; five nieces, Ann Leabo Riggs, Beth Leabo Newmeister, Sarah Spinks Suddreath, Betsy Leabo ZamZow and Jennie Leabo Mathias; seven nephews, Walter Leabo, John D. Leabo, Lt. Col. Karl Goetzke, Maj. Kenneth Goetzke, Jr., Nick Spinks, Jeff Spinks and Walter Spinks; and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Walter Leabo; two brothers, Walter C. Leabo and O. Dykes Leabo; one sister, Kathleen Leabo Goetzke; and two nephews, James Leabo and David Leabo.

Born Dec. 30, 1936, Miss Leabo was a native and resident of Shreveport until 1979 when she moved to Lafayette to make a home with Patsy and Lee Spinks, her sister and brother-in-law.

A rosary will be recited Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

Visiting hours will be observed at the Martin & Castille Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and one Saturday at the Osborn Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Miss Leabo's name may be made to the Alleman Center, 303 New Hope Rd., Lafayette, La. 70506 or to the Holy Angels Memorial Fund, 10450 Ellerbe Rd., Shreveport, La. 71106.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin & Castille Funeral Home, Inc. of Lafayette.
